Total Eclipse of 2024

We have opened up booking for the Total Eclipse next Spring and are excited to host your stay. The sheer volume of calls we have received for this one event since November of last year are amazing. Saint Albans in in the direct path of the eclipse and it should be a wonderful, historic event.

Please note that all reservations require a minimum of a two night stay, and are subject to stricter cancelation policy. If you cancel less than 30 days prior to the stay, you will forfeit the entire cost of your stay. Cancelations made after January 8th, 2024 up until 30 days before are subject to deposit loss.

56th Annual Maple Festival

Year after year Vermont leads the world in maple production. For 56 years running Saint Albans has been home to the Maple Festival, with a brief interruption due to covid. This year the festival is back in full steam and we are excited about the later weekend since we think that will bring an added bonus of better than usual festival weather.

Fall in all its Glory

Fall is here and the leaves are beginning to turn bright yellow, vibrant red, gold, and sunny orange. The temps are mild and the evenings are perfect for our firepit with a cup of tea or glass of wine.
There is still some limited availability for the Fall Foliage season. If you have trouble booking online through our site, it might be because of two-night restrictions. We utilize eco-friendly cleaning procedures and products to thoroughly sanitize each room and common area as often as possible. Ultra violet light may be used between guest stays to ensure that nothing but fresh ozone lingers. For that reason, sometimes it's difficult to allow early check in. It helps us to know your anticipated arrival time so that we can ensure a smooth and timely check in for our valued guests.

New Travel & Health Update

Our state is opening up again and we couldn't be more excited to host your stay. We throoughly clean between guests and during visits, so this is nothing new to us and our approach post pendemic. We also sanitize with UV light after each room has been utilized. You'll find our cleanliness--while effective--to be pleasant and not leave behind noxious fumes or harmful chemicals or residue.

Quarantine is no longer required. Instead, unvaccinated visitors will need to obtain a negative COVID-19 test result within three days prior to arrival in state. The certificate of compliance for lodging establishments is still required until travel restrictions are fully lifted, currently scheduled for June 1st.

Thank you for stopping by our shiny new website! We are enjoying festive weather here at Back Inn Time--perfect for the season. The tree is lit, the baking ongoing, and our rooms are cozy and warm.
